We’d heard Saigon was more hectic than Hanoi. It is certainly in constant motion, but the drivers obey traffic lights, so it is much safer to cross streets. We had chosen a hotel based on reviews praising its service and communication. Alexa was sending us a much needed & important package. It turned out to be quite challenging to receive the UPS package… UPS charged over $100 to send the light-as-a-feather Manila envelope, but they didn’t inform Alexa there would be additional fees on the Vietnam end. When The hotel told us about extra taxes of $76 on the package, Alexa paid them through Ca. UPS. But when Vietnam UPS delivered, they wanted COD. Blah blah blah In time, we solved the problem… But it’s no small feat getting a package in Vietnam! And our Alexa is always there when we need her. Things wouldn’t have gone so smoothly without Alexa championing for us back home!

Probably the enduring memory of our stay in Saigon was having cocktails with the hotel’s owner. Then the next day he sent roses to our room.
If you plan a visit to Saigon, you must stay at Paradise Saigon Hotel!
