July 20, Mui Ne: Beach Relaxation Day

Now a treat for the travelers!
We are heading to the beach in South Vietnam for a few R & R days. The weather was splendid! After a couple of weeks of sweltering heat and humidity, it was near heaven to be enveloped by Mui Ne’s refreshing breezes. The weather was nice all day and night. Mui Ne is a renown location for Kite Surfing. Our little bungalow hotel was right on the beach, with a pool and all we needed to kick back.
One of the most fun times we had in all of our days in Vietnam was in Mui Ne when we rented a motor scooter. We rode out to explore the UNESCO protected white sand dunes. Along the way we parked the scooter, and took a ‘lite’ hike following a stream which cuts through a scenic micro mini grand canyon,
We met up with a great young couple…. Newlyweds…Yossi and Aviva. They are moving from Isreal to Chicago after the honeymoon. We all rented dune buggys to best enjoy the sand dunes, then topped off the afternoon with Cold Ones.
