We are staying in Rarotonga, the largest of the 15 Cook Islands … Located half way between Hawaii and New Zealand.

It is the epitome of green tropical lushness surround by turquoise water.
We rented a cozy beach bungalow on the sand… Our favorite amenity is the sound of the crashing waves. It’s really all the entertainment we need! We ride shiny red beach cruisers to breakfast and dinner and to grab the grocery necessities (wine & beer of course)
One 2 lane road circles the island…not one U.S. Fast food chain restaurant or any type of retail chain exists here. I enjoyed the most perfect frothy Latte this morning at a local bakery! Life without Starbucks is paradise!

*Crypts are located Right in the midst of the bungalows we are staying at.  Islanders bury their loved ones on their personal property and this appears to be customary all over Rarotonga.

    • I didn’t know your were following. scooter more my style. It was great driving around the Island. Met a local couple who took us snorkeling. The place was like being on Guilligans Island. Just got to New Zealand today. Get our camper van Tuesday.so far all good.

    • We had a great time in the Cook Islands. Made it to Aukland today. so far no problems. I did miss golf, but I have to be honest, I like doing this so far. We’ve met some real nice people.

  5. Love your pictures….keep ’em coming! We’re in the middle of ANOTHER snowstorm here!!!! Another Monday off! Running out of places to put all the snow! I will enjoy any pic w/o coats, boots, hats or gloves!!! ❤
