July 11, 2015.

So today is the 39th anniversary of our first “date”, and I am happy to say we have been together ever since… especially the last 5 1/2 months!!

Today is also our 23rd day in Vietnam. We started in HaNoi and have made our way South, stopping in Dong Hoi, Hue, Hoi An, Mui Ne, and HCMC (Saigon.) On Monday, we take a 3 day  2 Nite “boat” up the  Mekong River to Phnom Penh,Cambodia. Our plan is to spend the next 5/6  days going to the Temples of Ankor Wat, and a few trips in the area. (Zip Lining)??

We have visited 3/4 natural caves, One, we took a boat about a K/M into the cave,beautiful and big. At the DMZ we walked thru a tunnel used by the North Vietnames and have seen many more war remnants. Tombs, Temples,Museums, and many other historical sites, are regular stops as we continue our ZWT. In Mui Ne we took 4 days of R&R at the beach/pool.One of the days we took a motor bike to some dunes, and road a 4-wheeler.  Lots of fun.

We wouldn’t say Vietnam is beautiful, but it has been interesting.Our mode of transportation continues to be diverse  using planes, trains, boat,  taxi, and scooters to traverse the country. I’m happy to say we continue to be healthy and happy.
